The Real Madrid defender's future at the Santiago Bernabéu is uncertain as the Brazilian man is linked with the MLS League and Miami Inter.
Marcelo's contract with Los Blancos expires in the summer of 2022, and he currently has no role in the starting line-up with the brilliant presence of Ferland Mendy.
According to a report published byFrance Football
, Inter Miami's interest in the Brazilian star stems from the friendship between club owner David Beckham and Marcelo. The two played together briefly at Real Madrid in 2007 and their friendship has lasted since then.
Marcelo has made 518 appearances for Madrid since January 2007 and has established himself as a club legend after 14 years.
The 32-year-old left-back has won 22 trophies with Real, including five La Liga titles and four Champions League crowns.
However, Real Madrid are keen to reduce Marcelo's salary bill if he does not intend to leave.
