Tue 16 March 2021 | 15:44

AC Milan have been given a big boost for the second leg of the Europa League last-16 tie against Manchester United as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back.

The Swede striker has recovered from a thigh injury and is ready for the game against his former club.

After securing a 1-1 draw in the first leg at Old Trafford thanks to

Simon Kjaer

’s late header, the return of their star would certainly help the Rossoneri’s chances of progressing even further.

Ibrahimovic

suffered a tear in the adductor muscle during the 2-1 win over

Roma

in Serie A and the Swede has struggled with injuries throughout the 2020-21 campaign.

He has missed several games in Serie A due to injury including matches against

Udinese

and

Verona

before he sat out the first leg of their clash with the

Manchester United

at Old Trafford last week.

He was also out of action during Milan’s 2-1 defeat to

Napoli

but managed to return to the training session on Monday and is now ready to face the Red Devils.
