Albertini: ‘Anything can still happen’ for Milan in the Scudetto race

The ex-Rossoneri believes the Italian club still have the chance to get their hands on the Serie A title as he urged them ‘to look ahead’ for the domestic trophy.

Former

AC Milan

midfielder, Demetrio Albertini, insists that the Rossoneri must

“keep dreaming”

of the Scudetto since

Inter

could stumble in a couple of games”

.

Milan currently sit 9 points behind Inter having won only one game out of their four recent matches, but Albertini believes the

Serie A

side still have the chance to win the title.

The 49-year-old, who claims that the Diavolo will regret their actions if they give up on their race for the title, told

La Gazzetta dello Sport

:

“It’s necessary to look ahead because, if you look back, fear can set in.”

“You have to keep dreaming of the title for two reasons: First, to have no regrets at the end, it’s possible that Inter could stumble in a couple of games, I don’t they dominated their opponents against Atalanta and Torino.”

“If they slow down a bit, it would be even worse for Milan to not have tried. Secondly, because if you aim high you have more motivation, you know you are playing for the most important target there is.”

Albertini believing that Milan still have a long way before the end of the season, added:

“Results aside, I don’t see a team in a crisis. There are still many games missing and an obscure context as never before.”

“Anything can still happen. The decisive moment comes now, in spring.”
