Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri will be leaving the club as both parties agree on the departure.
, who has not been getting the playing time he expected, has decided to leave Stamford Bridge, and the club has decided to respect the Italian international’s decision.
Football Italia reports that
have shown interest in signing the Italian left-back in the summer, andChelsea
has set a £17million mark for the player.
Emerson Palmieri joined the Blues from Roma in January 2018, and now he is about to enter the last year of his contract without ever getting to find his place in the team.
He has been struggling for a spot in the Blues’ lineup ever since his arrival. He had a better time under Maurizio Sarri, he even started the Europa League final against Arsenal, after Sarri’s departure, he didn’t get much playing time, especially with Frank Lampard’s arrival.
Palmieri’s position at Stamford Bridge got even worse, with Ben Chilwell’s move from Leicester City to Chelsea. Emerson Palmieri has only made 13 appearances this season, and the last of them was three months ago when he went in to replace Ben Chilwell, who was unable to continue the game because of an injury.
Following these hard years at Stamford Bridge, Emerson Palmieri and Chelsea have mutually agreed on the departure with the right price instead of a free transfer.
