Mon 15 March 2021 | 10:07

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette admits the Gunners were fortunate to be awarded the decisive penalty against Tottenham in the North London derby.

A goal from

Martin Odegaard

and the penalty of

Alexandre Lacazette

helped the Gunners come from behind to defeat 10-men

Tottenham

2-1 in the North London derby at the Emirates on Sunday.

There were controversy and discussion about whether

Davinson Sanchez

had really fouled

Lacazette

for the spot-kick which proved to be costly for the Spurs.

Lacazette said that the Gunners were lucky to be awarded the penalty.

"We are lucky to get the penalty, I think, but of course, I am happy,"

Lacazette told reporters after the game.

"Back in the days I have taken a lot of penalties against him [Hugo Lloris] but I was confident."
