Sun 14 March 2021 | 17:10

Paris Saint-Germain are talking to Paul Pogba’s agent about a summer move for the France international.

Paul Pogba

’s contract at

Manchester United

is due to expire in 2022 and the Frenchman may plan to leave when the season ends.

PSG

have long been keen on signing with the France international, who is out of action due to a thigh injury he sustained in February.

Based on reports from

Foot Mercato

, Mino Raiola, the midfielder’s agent, has been contacted by the

Ligue 1

giants.

According to PSG sporting director Leonardo, the club needs height in midfield and the 6ft 3in 27-year-old matches the description.

The Red Devils may try to convince Pogba to sign a renewal, but the World Cup winner has yet to make a decision.

Pogba rejoined the Red Devils in 2016 with a transfer fee of £89.3m and has yet to grab a Premier League title with United.

Among the other clubs interested in the Frenchman’s signature are

Real Madrid

and

Juventus

, but PSG remain his favourite destination.

"

We’ve got a good open dialogue with Paul so what we talk about and how we see that situation remains between us,

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

said of Pogba’s contract.

I’m just happy he’s focused and playing really well. He’s happy within himself and that’s important: you can see Paul enjoying football himself with a red shirt on.

“Our conversations remain private, of course. But for example, Paul is a Manchester United player through and through. He’s been here in two spells.

“He came as a kid, he’s learnt about the history of the club, the passion of the club.

“He wants to do the best for United when he’s here and I think we’ve seen that – that he really cares for his team and he’s trying to be as successful as everyone else.”

United, who are set to face

West Ham

on Sunday, are hopeful that Pogba is in action after the international break.
