Perez asked Ronaldo to return to Real Madrid

Ronaldo's dispute with Real Madrid president was one of the main reasons behind the superstar’s departure and transfer to Juventus, but the two had the chance to rejoin back in 2019.

three years ago. The main reason behind this separation was Ronaldo's request for a salary increase, however, the two sides could not reach an agreement and a very good and memorable 9-year relationship finally came to an end.

Both the club and the player suffered from this separation. Without Ronaldo, the Los Blancos have not been able to reach the last 16 of the Champions League, and the Portuguese superstar has experienced similar conditions at Juventus and has not been able to reach the semi-finals of the competition.

Two days ago, the Spanish media reported an informal negotiation between Ronaldo’s agent and Real Madrid officials for a possible return.  Even

AS

claimed that there has been contact between the two sides in recent months and that Ronaldo is eager to reunite with his former club.

In July 2019, when Ronaldo returned to Madrid to receive the Marca Special Award, Real Madrid president

Florentino Perez

and the Portuguese star finally found the chance to meet. This was the first meeting between the two sides after Ronaldo's separation from Real.

According to AS, Perez asked Ronaldo to return to Santiago Bernabeu, but the 36-year-old superstar, with a smile on his face, respectfully rejected Perez's request and said “not already”.

It has been widely rumored in recent weeks that Ronaldo is now interested in returning to Spain. Now we should wait and see what the two sides are going to do in coming weeks, and maybe very soon, we’ll be able see a magical reunion.
