The former Milan player, who will be returning to San Siro as an opposition coach, had a successful career with the Italian club, but his most memorable moments were spent with him being the victim of his teammates’ pranks.

Current

Napoli

manager, Gennaro Gattuso, is expected to lead his men in their Sunday match against

AC Milan

as he returns to his former club for the first time on the opposite side.

Gattuso, who enjoyed a successful run during his 13-year experience at San Siro, was known as the usual victim of his teammates’ pranks back in his days as a player.

In an incident with

Zlatan Ibrahimović

, Gattuso was thrown into a bin for his constant nagging.

While his time with Andrea Pirlo was spent with him being scared in the middle of night by the current

Juventus

coach and his teammates giving Milan’s director, Ariedo Braida, prank calls from Gattuso’s phone to discuss his contract.

In return, Gattuso also had some fun in paying back his teammates with his own pranks.

According to the 43-year-old, he even had the experience of eating a slug after making a bet with Kakha Kaladze to swallow the creature.

Recalling the bet, Gattuso said:

“It was a bet with Kaladze. Nobody thought I’d actually eat it, but I did it to help us become more of a team.”

Kaladze also played a prank of his own on Gattuso where he asked everyone to pretend of forgetting the latter’s birthday and after a day he shouted during their lunch, saying:

“Lads, there are 364 days to go until Gattuso’s birthday!”

During his time with the

Serie A

side, Gattuso scored 11 goals in his 468 appearances, but before all of this he admits that he was about to leave for

Bayern Munich

at some point of his career and according to him, only then-CEO, Adriano Galliani, was able to talk him out of it.

“He told me, this is your home. It was never an issue of money with me, I always had Milan in my heart,”

he said.
