The Blades have part company with their manager as they are currently sitting at the bottom of the table.

Sheffield United

are 12 points off the safety as they are currently bottom of the Premier League table. Chris Wilder has not participated in the latest pre-match press conference as he has resigned from his position as the manager of the Blades.

Wilder took charge of Sheffield United back in 2016 when they were still in English League One. He got the club promoted to the Championship, finding themselves in the Premier League two years after. They finished their first season back in Premier League in the ninth position which was an unbelievable achievement for the experienced manager.

However, things went on a downhill for Sheffield United this season as they have spent almost the entirety of the season at the bottom of the table. The departure of their goalkeeper, Dean Henderson was a key factor in their failure this season and no matter how hard Wilder tried, he couldn’t turn things around. After a heated discussion with the Saudi owner of the club, Wilder decided to leave the club eventually while there are still 10 games to be played.
