Joan Laporta has become the new president of
Barcelonabut only one night after the election, he has already started doing his duties. The man who had an important impact on Barcelona’s prime period back in the 2000s went to the training ground today and met the players and the staff of all the three groups.
After finishing the interviews Laporta met the first team, the B team, and Femini sides. The president of Barcelona had small conversations with the players and coaches according to
El Mundo Deportivo, discussing the club’s goals for this season as the first team will be focusing on winning the La Liga title, Copa del Rey, and the importance of Barcelona’s clash against
PSGin the last 16 stage of the Champions League.
Laporta, who secured the presidency with 30,184 votes (54.28 percent of the votes) has already said: “I am very excited because we have to be with the players and with the coaches because they are alone, in good times and in bad. I will take the antigen test to visit them and to start working.”
