The largest comeback in the UCL history

Four years ago on this day, Barcelona defeated PSG with the largest comeback of UCL history.

March 8th is a big day for

Barcelona’s

fans as they recall this day by their historic comeback against

Paris Saint-Germain

in the Champions League back in 2017.

PSG’s 4-0 victory in the first leg in Parc des Princes was a reliable fact for the pundits to consider the Parisians as the winners of the stage, but the Catalans were never disappointed, and they entered the word remontada in football.

Barcelona started the second leg with so much pressure that they scored three goals in the first fifty minutes of the game, although Edinson Cavani’s goal silenced Camp Nou once again. An away goal made everything harder for the Catalans, but they kept fighting.

Neymar’s free-kick in the 87th minute of the game brought them one step closer, it wasn’t enough, so they added another goal from the penalty spot in the first minute of the adding time, and Sergio Roberto’s last-minute goal made the game 6-1 and made that match the largest come back in the Champions League’s history.

Now Barcelona will face PSG once again but with a few differences from the last time, and the most important thing is that Neymar is wearing the Parisians’ kit playing against his former club.

PSG’s 4-1 victory in the first leg reminds the fans of that historic clash between the two clubs. We will have to wait until Wednesday to see what will happen in the clash between the Spanish and the French giants.
