Juventus planning to sell Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer

Juventus have suffered from the financial effects of the pandemic and might sell Ronaldo and Dybala to balance books.

Juventus

officials announced last month that they have suffered a loss of €113.7 million in the first half of the current financial year due to the pandemic. According to a report from

Calciomercato

, the Turin club might decide to sell

Cristiano Ronaldo

and

Paulo Dybala

in the summer to ease their financial situation. A transfer for Dybala is more likely as the player has not been in a good form in the current season and his contract will expire in 2022. However, Ronaldo could also be sold a year before his contract expires. The Portuguese superstar reportedly earns €31m per year while the team’s next highest-paid player is

Matthijs de Ligt

with an annual salary of €8m. The report also indicates that De Ligt will stay at Turin despite rumors about a potential offer from

Barcelona

. The Dutch defender joined Juventus from

Ajax

in 2019 and has established himself as a crucial part of the team’s backline.
