The Spain international has accepted an extension contract at Celta Vigo.
Nolito
has returned to the
La Ligaclub
Celta Vigoon a short-term contract last summer. According to
Marca, the former
Manchester Citywinger has used his automatic one-year extension option in his contract. The Veteran Spanish’s contract has allowed him to extend his stay for the next campaign, as he was in the starting lineup in more than 60% of his side's league matches this season.
The 34-year-old has had a crucial role for his side, having started 23 games out of 26 this season. He has found the target on five occasions.
Nolito had the best spell of his football career when he played for Celta from 2013 to 2016 before joining City. He came back to Spain in 2017 and moved to
Sevillawhere he received the Europa League winners medal in 2020.
