Inter should not consider themselves champions - Mazzola

Inter are in good shape to win the Scudetto and they are the favorites to win the title.

Former

Inter Milan

striker Sandro Mazzola has claimed that Antonio Conte's side should no longer consider themselves Serie A champions.

The Nerazzurri are currently top of Serie A by 6 points and are heading for their first title since 2010. They must face Atalanta on Monday to continue the 10-game unbeaten run. However, Mazzola, who won four Serie A titles with Inter between 1963 and 1971, claimed that Inter should not consider themselves champions with 13 games left in the season.

“Inter have not won the Scudetto yet,”

Mazzola told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“As the great Helenio Herrera said, it’s not over until the last game, so I would urge caution.

“We have to wait, I don’t like talking before. Obviously I’m superstitious, but don’t talk to me about the Scudetto, I haven’t heard this word!”

“I would say Inter, Milan, Juventus and Atalanta will make up the top four. I really like the Bergamo team a lot,”

Mazzola concluded.
