After conceding a late penalty to Milan, Udinese’s coach, Giampiero Pinzi, joked with Jens Stryger Larsen, ‘asking him to play volleyball’.

The Friuli are unbeaten in three games and their manager praised his side for their strong mentality,

Gotti

told

Udinese

TV:

“One of the qualities of a team at this level is to be mentally strong regardless of the episodes and therefore be able to overcome them without backlash,

even during games.

“In this perspective, we can’t change what happened anymore and we try to have the mental strength possible to better face the future.”

On

Larsen’s

controversial handball, which led to

Frank Kessie’s

equalizer,

Gotti

said: “I haven’t spoken to him, I think it’s superfluous in cases like this,

the incident is clear, there’s no need to underline it.

“From my point of view, [technical coach Giampiero] Pinzi did well to play down the situation in front of the whole group. He welcomed Larsen with a ball, asking him to play volleyball.”

However, the Italian admitted preparing for the Serie A game against Sassuolo was a hard task.

“We aren’t many,”

he said.

“And the accumulated fatigue is felt.

“We will need all the forces available.”

“Samir will not be available until the break, I think,” Gotti said and referred to the next international break at the end of the month.

“Becao suffered a displaced fracture of his nasal bones in that contact with [Ante] Rebic, but he gave me full availability to be there."
