Manchester Unitedinsisting that the Red Devils already have
Bruno Fernandesas their key player.
After pursuing Grealish for a while, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer eventually shifted his attention to
Sporting CP’s Fernandes, who moved to their side for €55 million (£47m/$60m) in January 2020.
Asked about the interest from Old Trafford, Grealish told
YouTuber Harry Pinero:<em>
“You’ve got Bruno anyway!”
Since joining the Red Devils, Fernandes has been able to score 34 goals and give 21 assists in his 62 appearances while Grealish has been enjoying a similar role as he captains Dean Smith’s squad.
Grealish currently has 17 goals and 18 assists in total for Aston Villa.
Talking about him having
“the filthiest first touch”
in the
Premier League, the 25-year-old said:
“That’s not true.”
“I do some alright touches but you need to put a bit of respect on Bruno and KDB [Kevin De Bruyne].”
Grealish is currently nursing a mild injury as Aston Villa prepare to face
Wolverhamptonin their upcoming match.
