The Argentine star wants to leave Etihad Stadium after 10 years.
Barcelona will try to sign Sergio Aguero if Joan Laporta wins the presidency election.
Laporta is known as the main option for the presidency of Barcelona and will most likely take over the again as the successor of Josep Maria Bartomeu. He was previously president of Barcelona from 2003 to 2010, during which time his team won four La Liga titles and two Champions Leagues. Lionel Messi started his football career at Barca during his presidency, and Laporta recently announced that the argentine will leave Blaugrana in the summer, unless he becomes president of the club.
Paris Saint-Germain andManchester City
are two teams that have a strong desire to sign Messi. Both clubs tried to sign Messi last summer, but in the end, the best goal scorer in Barca history remained in the team.
If Laporta is elected president of Barcelona, the chances of Sergio Aguero being transferred to Barca in the summer will be very high. Messi and Aguero are old friends in the Argentine national team and it is possible that they will team up with each other at the club level.
Aguero's contract expires in the summer and the Argentine striker plans to leave the Premier League after 10 years.
It remains to be seen how Barcelona's election will end.
