Wilder's side defeated Aston Villa with one less player.
boss Chris Wilder has praised his side after their victory over Aston Villa.
Wilder's side, who are at the bottom of the Premier League table, played against Villa for more than half an hour with 10 men and defeated the opponent with a single goal by David McGoldrick in the first half. Phil Jagilka was sent off in the 60th minute and the Blades fought 10 men against their opponents and managed to gain 3 important points in the game. After the match, Wilder praised his team's character.
“Any result in this division is a huge result for Sheffield United,”
Wilder told reporters.
“Obviously it was made a little more difficult going down to 10 men, but we showed good character – as I’ve spoken about all season regarding my team.
“We took that big moment tonight, and when we had to keep the ball out of the back of the net we did that tonight too. And we didn’t make any individual errors, which have cost us all season. We haven’t done those things enough this season.”
