MLS have been interested in signing the 31-year-old Brazilian but a source says that MLS are not likely to spend too much money on Alex Teixeira.

Although

MLS

have been showing interest in signing

Alex Teixeira

, it seems like the enthusiasm shown from this league have been put out.

Teixeira started playing in 1999 and played for

Vasco da Gama

for eight years.

He continued his career life by joining

Shakhtar Donetsk

and making his debut for them in 2010. He stayed there until 2016 and in the same year, he joined

Jiangsu Suning

on a four-year-deal with a €50million transfer fee paid.

MLS liked the Brazilian who is creative in playing and is qualifies. Two features that MLS lacks and seeks to add to the teams.

A source aware of this situation said that the price of the player “is near $10 million” which marks MLS's most expensive contract and MLS clubs do not seem to be into spending such money on a player.

Another matter over this transfer is also the age of the player which is not the normal age for a new signing for MLS. He may not be considered too old for this career but there is a little chance for the 31-year-old to be sold and make a good profit.

For now, reports suggest that the player will be back to the Chinese club.
