Manchester United players and manager were extremely angry with the referee not giving the penalty in last night's match against Chelsea.

A controversial incident happened during the Premier League clash between

Manchester United

and

Chelsea

.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

touched the ball with his hand but it took long before VAR tell the referee about the incident. After checking from the monitor Stuart Attwell didn’t give a penalty.

Luke Shaw

said after the match that he heard the referee telling

Maguire

that he can not give the penalty because it would cause so many people to talk about the decision. It was odd and talked about during the football fans but

Christensen

says that it was obvious from the first second that it was not a penalty.

The Danish defender has told Chelsea’s

official website

on the back of an eventful 0-0 draw:

“I saw it and from my view it was their player [Greenwood] that touched it with the hand.

“I don’t know why they had to check it because it was quite obvious.

“I’m a defender so I hate that [handball] rule. If it wasn’t on purpose by either of them I think we should just leave it, especially when it’s not on goal, just in between two players not going anywhere.”
