Glenn Roeder passes away aged 65
Former Watford, West Ham, and Newcastle manager Glenn Roeder has passed away aged 65 after a lengthy battle with a brain tumor.

Gillingham, was part of the England coaching staff under

Hoddle

He made over 500 appearances as a defender for several clubs including
Leyton Orient
,
QPR
,
Newcastle
,
Watford
, and
Gillingham
during his 20-year career.

ews of Roeder's death was confirmed in a statement by the League Managers' Association (LMA).
Howard Wilkinson
, who is Chairman of the League Manager’s Association said
: "A cultured defender as a player, he managed with a studious style and was always generous with his time and ideas," said Wilkinson.
"Glenn was such an unassuming, kind gentleman who demonstrated lifelong dedication to the game. Not one to court headlines, his commitment and application to his work at all levels warrants special mention.
"Football has lost a great servant today and our sincere condolences go to Glenn's family and friends."
