Arteta gives Smith Rowe injury update

in the 42nd minute due to injury. In a post-match interview,

Mikel Arteta

has expressed his hope that the 20-year-old won’t miss any matches due to his ‘muscular injury’.

"It was a muscular injury, he wasn't feeling very comfortable so we decided to take him out,"

said the Spaniard.

"Hopefully it's not too bad.


He added:

"It's insane the number of games and minutes these players are playing without any pre-season or break."

Asked about his team’s performance against

Leicester City

, Arteta responded:

"I'm really proud of the team, the character we showed,"

said the Arsenal manager.

"We looked composed, confident, the energy and the positiveness around the team was really good."
