The Borussia Dortmund winger has set a record in Bundesliga after providing an assist for Mahmoud Dahoud.

The England international

Bundesliga

player to have contributed 50 assists.

In his 99th Bundesliga game, the 20-year-old has reached a milestone, providing an assist for

Borussia Dortmund

’s first goal when they vanquished

Arminia Bielefeld

3-0.

Sancho wrote on his Twitter: “

Happy to be the youngest Bundesliga player to reach 50 assists

.”

Sancho also met the back of the net when he stood up for a penalty in the 58th minute, admitting that he has been working on that area.

I’ve been practicing penalties and I think that’s a good addition for a forward player to have,

” Sancho said.

I was happy enough Marco [Reus] let me take the penalty and happy enough to score.

Following a hard start to the campaign, Sancho has been working on his form, scoring seven goals and contributing six assists in all competitions since the new year began.

Dortmund, who are sitting fifth on the Bundesliga table, will fight in three games across three different competitions: a DFB-Pokal battle against Borussia Monchengladbach on Tuesday which will be followed by a clash against Bayern in Der Klassiker. They will later take on

Sevilla

in the Champions League.
