It has been reported that many Schalke players have no intention of playing for head-coach Christian Groß after their derby last week.
’s humiliating 4-0 loss againstBorussia Dortmund
last week, several Schalke professionals asked for dismissing head-coach
, according to Germany's Kicker magazine.
Club media communications director
admitted that there had been a great deal of frustration after the 98th Revierderby.
"There was no player who approached [sporting director] Jochen Schneider with such a concern," Siekmann told the magazine, "That there was frustration after the derby defeat is quite clear. However, there was no such thing as a 'revolt' or 'revolution'."
It seems Schalke can not escape relegation this season as they sit nine points off the relegation playoff spot. But changing the coach again is also unlikely.
