After winning the SheBelieves Cup MVP award on Wednesday, Rose Lavelle insisted there were more deserving players despite helping USWNT winning the title for the second consecutive year beating Argentina 6-0 in the final.
Manchester City’s midfielder said:
"Honestly I don't know how I won that. I don't know who picks that. I think there were a lot better options
.
"I guess it's always nice to be recognized but I think there were other people that deserved it more."
The 25-year-old will head back to England as Man City are trying to reduce their five-point distance from the league leaders, Chelsea
