"We are a group that are very tight together. We want to go further but when you have failed before you want to do better." said the Norwegian.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

's side reached the last 16 after finishing leg two of the

Europa League

matches against

Real Sociedad

. The first round resulted in a 4-0 victory for

Manchester United

.

The Red Devils manage to keep an unbeaten run for a month now and the Norwegian believes that this is because of the sad experience of last defeats.

He told

BT Sport

 :

"You remember the defeats more so than the wins. To get the semi-finals in any competition, you're so close.

"We've had three of them, we've lost one, so this group knows how it feels.

"We are a group that are very tight together. You come in, your work every day, you have a few setbacks and knocks.

"We want to go further but when you have failed before you want to do better.

"The culture is really improving and we've got some fantastic players and fantastic coaches."

Manchester United will be meeting

Chelsea

on Sunday and then will be having a match against

Crystal Palace

.

Solskjaer is now looking at these important Premier League games with confidence. He said:

"Now until the international break, I think we have six or seven games, all important games, so these three weeks now are going to be massive for us.

Manchester United sits 10 points behind the

Premier League

table's top team,
