Abraham delays contract extension due Haaland rumors

Thu 25 February 2021 | 15:41

The English star is waiting for the transfer of Earling Haaland to be decided to resolve on his future.

Chelsea

striker Tammy Abraham has suspended his contract extension with the club due to the Blues' interest in signing Erling Holland.

The English striker has a contract with Chelsea until the summer of 2023, but despite his salary being significantly lower than that of his teammates, he has not signed a new contract with the club. It seems that he intends to make sure that his position in his team is fixed first and then think about extending his contract.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid are among the teams trying to sign Erling Haaland, and Chelsea have a good chance of signing the Norwegian star due to their good economic situation.

Athletic

reports that Abraham is making decisions about his future with this in mind. He is currently competing with Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner, but the presence of the Norwegian striker could make it very difficult for him to play at Chelsea.

The 23-year-old striker has made 20 Premier League appearances for Chelsea and has been in the starting line-up in 12 games.
