Manchester United boss is already considering Cavani’s contract extension.

Manchester United’s

Uruguayan striker has been showing some impressive performances since his arrival.

Edinson Cavani

joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2020 and signed a one-year deal with the club.

Many would have suggested that Cavani’s career would end after his spell at PSG, but he has shown his critics what a great performer he is. This ambition and performance have convinced Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to think about keeping him.

“I can only say Edinson has done well. I’ve been impressed by him, he’s really gelled in the group and we’ll sit down and speak with him in the near future to see his plans and our plans,”

Solskjaer told reporters ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Newcastle

“It’s a good discussion to have. We always speak to the players and, with his contract situation at the moment, we’re very pleased with what he’s done.”

Many pundits have asked questions about the strategies behind signing at Cavani’s age, which shows that the Red Devils are not making any investments on long-term plans. But he has been a go-to player for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite all the criticism.
