Beijing Guoan signed a contract with Gao Tianyi as they get ready for the 2021 Chinese Super League season.

Gao Tianyi

moved to

Beijing Guoan

from the Chinese champions

Jiangsu FC

and became

Slaven Bilić

’s second signing after

Cao Yongjing

this off-season.

The 22-year-old has featured for many clubs as a youth, such as Shandong Taishan, Hangzhou Greentown, and Albacete, before coming back home and having his start at Shenzhen in 2016.

In the 2016-17 campaign, Gao had made 17 appearances in the China League One, securing himself a move to Jiangsu when the campaign ended. He had played regular football, featuring in 49 games in the next two seasons for the Nanjing-based side. However, he lacked game time during the following campaigns as he played in less than 10 league games and decided to go back to Shenzhen in 2019.

He rejoined Jiangsu for the 2020-21 campaign, appearing in six league matches as well as five Chinese FA competitions. However, he is now looking for more chances in other clubs.

Beijing Guoan are going to be concentrating on grabbing the league title in 2021 and when the approvals are given, there will be an announcement on the new signings.
