Tue 16 February 2021 | 12:25

Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué, who has been sidelined for three months, has been picked up for tonight's match against PSG.

Gerard Piqué

has been able to return to action a month early, against all the odds.

He suffered a serious injury in the game against

Atletico Madrid

and was said to be unable to return until April, but Piqué started individual training last week and yesterday was able to complete both parts of

's training session without any problems.

Barca boss

Ronald Koeman

had postponed the decision on Piqué until today, and after the announcement of the list of players, it became clear that he was able to get to the crucial match tonight against

Paris Saint-Germain

A Barca statement reads:

"Gerard Pique and Braithwaite have been discharged. The Barca center-back has been called 87 days after injuring himself against Atletico Madrid at Wanda Metropolitano.

"Thus, the Barca center-back has already overcome the grade three sprain in the lateral ligament internal injury and the partial injury to the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee that he suffered last November."

Martin Braithwaite

was another injured player who was able to recover and be included in the roster, but young Barca defender

Ronald Araújo

will miss tonight's game despite his best efforts.
