Flick is 'comfortable in Munich' as he ruled out replacing Löw at DFB

Sun 14 February 2021 | 9:35

Bayern Munich head coach Hansi Flick says he has no desire to leave the Bavarian side in the midst of rumors connecting him with the work as Germany manager.

The decorated 55-year-old has turned down speculations of him supplanting

Joachim Löw

as Germany head coach this late spring.

"I have a contract until 2023 with Bayern München. I feel comfortable in Munich, and I feel comfortable at the club," the 55-year-old told Bild am Sonntag.

"I have no reason whatsoever to change anything about that at the moment."

Germany's senior supervisor

Oliver Bierhoff

recently disclosed to Sport Bild that he "would be insane to preclude" Flick taking over as Germany coach in the future.

Flick used to be an assistant manager in the national team from 2006 to 2014, Löw is as yet under agreement with the German Football Association until 2022.
