Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder: ‘We want to stay in this division’

The Blades boss hopes his men will keep on winning to avoid a drop from the Premier League after securing six wins from their last nine games following a late start of the season.

Sheffield United

head-coach, Chris Wilder, urged his men to keep on fighting for a better spot in the

Premier League

table and escape the drop zone by starting to win.

The Blades are currently 12 points adrift from the safety zone as they prepare for a trip to

West Ham

"We cannot sugar-coat anything,"

said Wilder.

"We are heading into the final 15 matches and if we want to stay in this division we have got to win games of football, and we have to do that sooner rather than later.”

"It is a crackers game we are involved in and we are in a season of unpredictability. Sometimes it is not all about the maths. That can go out the window.”

"But we have to make sure we don't leave it too late. We have to win games now, winning through February, through March and through April to give us an opportunity come May."

Wilder is ready to welcome back
