Angelino went on a loan move to the Bundesliga club at the end of January, but seems to have become one of the permanent players in the Nagelsmann's side on a €16 million deal.
Having played only 12 times forManchester City
in the ongoing season,Angelino
went on a loan move toRB Leipzig
Angelino registered one goal and three assists for Leipzig.
The 24-year-old, however, seemed to be content enough to turn this move into a permanent one.
He talked about his reasons for doing this and said:
"I have that thorn of why I did not play more or I did not quite fit in [at City]. But that helped me get here, meet the coach, the group, and reach the semis in the Champions League.
"If I'm honest, I'm here for [head coach Julian]
. I signed again for him. I was very happy with him, the way he played, everything, everything he transmits, the tactics, fits me perfectly. He's the reason I'm here. Obviously, the relationship with colleagues is also very good.
"Something came out of interest [from Barcelona], but Leipzig pulled a lot for me to come back and in my head, I wanted to be calm and continue enjoying football like I was doing in recent months and stay there."
He seems to have become one of the key players on Naglesmann's side. The last four games of Leipzig have resulted in a victory for the club.
