Nicolo Barella's exceptional performance has led Inter Milan to consider strengthening his position in the team.

Italian media have claimed that

Inter Milan

intend to extend the contract of the talented Italian midfielder Nicolo Barella.

In fact, FCInternews.it claims that Inter have begun negotiations with Alessandro Beltrami, Barella's agent, to extend his contract. Piero Ausilio, the club's sporting director, has assured the Italian midfielder's salary will increase soon.

Beltrami is waiting for Inter to finalize a new contract, which will probably add a year to the current contract. Barella has a contract with Inter Milan until 2024 and earns 2.4 million euros a year, but his salary is expected to increase in proportion to the importance he's to Conte.

Inter signed Barella from Cagliari in 2019 for 37 million euros, and the Italian star has been given a lot of time since then to be able to fit in the team. He has played 31 games this season, scoring 3 goals and 10 assists.
