Former Inter player dreams of playing alongside Lukaku

on a permanent deal in the summer of 2019. Inter had the option to sign the 21-year-old player again in the summer but didn’t try to bring him back however, the Belgian defender has revealed his intention of returning to



The Belgian international dreams of playing alongside Romelu Lukaku. “The goal is to go back there,” Vanheusden explained with Belgian broadcaster RTBF.

“Inter are a very important club who helped me develop as a player.

“Between the ages of 15 and 18 I was there and I learned a lot as a defender.

“Romelu Lukaku is at the Nerazzurri and is happy, I think he’s waiting for me there.”

The player suffered a nasty injury a few month back and he has given an update about his recovery process. “I’m fine, I’m a positive guy even though there are difficult days,” he admitted.

“I miss the pressure of being on the pitch, the fans and everything about football.”
