The Argentine coach believes that they should not think that with the recent victory, their championship is certain.

Atletico Madrid

coach Diego Simeone insisted after the 4-2 victory over Cadiz that they should go game by game.

After Real Madrid's defeat to Levante, Atletico had the opportunity to increase their difference with the second team. With the victory against Cadiz, they were able to increase their point to 50 and upper their difference with Real Madrid to ten points. Now Simeone, whose team has played one game less than his opponent, claimed that they should move forward game by game.

He told Marca:

“In football we have to live with all the situations that are happening.

We take care and worry about following this line. We didn’t have Carrasco or Mario but the team responded very well. It grew, but we also need Torreira to grow, to make room for Dembele, to let Vitolo regain his place. Everything leads to greater competition which will raise the team’s position.”

Asked about the influence of the game on winning the title, he said:

“To follow the line that you’re suggesting, we must continue to go game by game,” he said.

“The players have to compete with each other and demand to play to generate that competition between us. Then the Champions League will come where we hope to compete until the end, and we need everyone for that. I only worry about being the best possible for whatever comes.”
