Dybala should be back soon - Paratici

Sat 30 January 2021 | 17:25

Juventus CFO Fabio Paratici has denied playing a role in signing the players in the January window and reveals Paulo Dybala will soon return to action.

As I explained, in January this will be about opportunities and we have no particular requirements. We’ve seen Kulusevski can play as a support striker, Dybala’s injury isn’t as bad as previously thought, so he should be back in 7-10 days

,” Paratici told Sky Sport Italia.

“We therefore just waited and kept an eye out for any potential opportunities on the market.”

Juventus

will face Sampdoria tonight at Luigi Ferraris Stadium.

Given that Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot joined the team freely but did not perform well, will Juventus get away with this kind of signing?

“We’re satisfied with Ramsey and Rabiot. Last season we won the Scudetto and I think these players are expressing themselves at a good level.

“When it comes to choosing players who are free agents or for sale, we should differentiate only between talented and not talented, not free or for a price, old or young.”

Juventus signed Nicolò Rovella from Genoa.

“He is a player of great prospects and we believe he can play well for Juventus in future.”

How important is the Under-23 team?

“The creation of an Under-23 team is an important step. If we look at all the major leagues, they’ve had B-Teams for 20, 30, 40 years, so the fact we were the only league without them should’ve raised some questions.

“It has certainly given us a boost on a technical level, because the young players can mature quicker, it’s a big difference getting players who were in Serie C rather than in the Primavera youth league.

“I’ve been working at Juventus for 11 years, I think with good results, and I am still hungry to win, to do my best for this club. In fact, I am only 48 years old, which is quite young for a director, so I feel like I still have a lot to learn.”
