Pires, who has already tasted the honor of winning the premier league with Arsenal, believes that we can be assured of advancing to the Champions League in the 2020-21 season.

Robert Pires

has boldly stated that

can reach the top-four this season, while Gunners claim that Arsenal's future at Emirates stadium under

Mikel Arteta

could be bright again.

In 2020-21, questions were raised as to whether Arsenal have a suitable man at their head or not.

A clash against

Manchester United

is on the next agenda, with Arsenal are seven points away from the

Champions League

when they enter this match.

Pires, who was once a part of Arsenal's legendry "Invincibles" team, believes Arteta could return to elite European competition for a team that was at a very short distance from the goal.

He said:

"Mikel is young and needs time to implement his ideas but I believe that once he has built his team, Arsenal will be competitive and ready to go toe-to-toe with the great English clubs.

"It's hard, but I would not even rule out that they finish in the top four and qualify for the Champions League this year because things change quickly in the league.

"If I see

having tough periods, I'm telling myself there is an opportunity for Arsenal to grab [points]. They only need to get back to winning ways and then maintain the consistency. Then anything can happen.

"It's imperative the supporters stay patient because Arsenal are in transition, but the club's future under Arteta looks bright."

Along with stabilizing on the pitch, Pires is also making arsenal progress, that academy graduates are at the heart of these programs.
