The player will join the team for the first time on their Saturday match since his return to Schalke.

Schalke

player,

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

, is expected to make his first appearance for their Saturday match against

Werder Bremen

after rejoining the team from Ajax and going through a calf recovery process.

"I'm happy to report that Klaas-Jan will travel to Bremen. We are planning to give him a cameo,"

Schalke 04 coach, Christian Gross, said.

In return Huntelaar also commented on his return, saying:

"I'm always excited to play. I suffered a minor calf injury in my final game for Ajax, but I'm happy to be back in team training. I've been able to complete parts so far."

"Obviously I want to get back on the pitch as soon as possible, but you have to give the injury chance to heal. Otherwise you'll have problems for weeks and it might not go away."

Gross, who plans to place Huntelaar next to

Matthew Hoppe

on the pitch, added:

"I'm not ruling out Hoppe and Huntelaar playing up front together. It depends on the situation. Klaas-Jan would then play further forward in this partnership."
