Man City upper their bid for Alaba

Guardiola intends to work with his former player again.

The AS claimed that Manchester City had made a high offer to sign David Alaba as the Austrian defender.

Alaba is in the final year of his contract with

Bayern

and intends to leave as a free agent at the end of the season. Earlier, Marca claimed that Real Madrid had reached an agreement with him and even passed medical tests. Spanish media outlets have also confirmed in recent days that he will join the Whites with a salary of € 11 million a year.

Now Sport Bild claims that Manchester City are also looking to sign the Bayern defender. Alaba has a history of working with Guardiola and therefore, the Spanish coach wants to add him to his squad in Manchester. City are said to have offered Alaba a salary of € 14 million a year plus bonuses, which will make Real Madrid's job very difficult.

It remains to be seen what the decision of the Austrian star will be and whether he will go to La Liga or the Premier League.
