Crawley

.

Former

Arsenal

West Ham

midfielder fired the opener for the hosts in the first half. An incisive pass from Danjuma and a clever touch from King allowed Wilshere to sweep home from the edge of the area – his first goal in 18 months.

However, Crawley were level in the second half thanks to

Nichols

’ equalizer but

Josh King

struck soon after to set a trip to

Burnley

.

“From a personal point of view it was just a pleasure to be back starting a game,”

said Wilshere, who previously spent the 2016-17 season on loan at the Vitality Stadium

.

“Last time I was here I didn’t score and it didn’t sit well with me. I forgot how to celebrate.

“I was a bit shocked. I probably should have had a couple more – I got into some good positions.”
