Greenwood should build on his performance - Lindelof
Lindelof believes Greenwood should continue to perform well against Liverpool.
defender Victor Lindelof praised Mason Greenwood after Liverpool's goal, claiming he should continue to build on his performance.
The talented 19-year-old Manchester United defender has failed to score in 10 games for the team. He did not have a permanent place on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team and there were doubts about his progress at Old Trafford. However, he responded to his critics by scoring in the first half of yesterday's match, and Lindelof now claims that he must continue this process.
He told MUTV:
“I was very happy for him, he’s a brilliant young player and for him to get a goal and an assist is great for him, hopefully he can keep building and improving.”
Lindelof added on their performance against Liverpool:
“We've done it a couple of times and we did it again today, we know we can do it, we have belief and even if we concede a goal we’re very calm and try to be patient with the ball because we know we’ll get chances,” Lindelof added.
“That’s what happened today, we conceded but we kept on going.”
