‘I feel a little bit unconfident now,’ says Dest as Koeman backs him

reveals that he is losing a bit of confidence since his summer transfer to Camp Nou. However, Barcelona head coach

Ronal Koeman

believes the 20-year-old will be comfortable in his new situation soon enough.

Dest has featured in 15 matches out of 17 in

for his side this season. Although the United States international hasn’t shown full potential in Spain yet, he is certain he will get over a difficult start in his new club.

For me, it's important to get that confidence back because I feel a little bit unconfident right now,

" Dest said.

"

That's the most important thing for me right now: get the confidence back and play like I used to play and then I think I have a lot of potential."

Ronald Koeman was unable to persuade Dest to take no notice of the USMNT for the Netherlands when he was a national team boss. However, he is satisfied to be working with him at Barca.

Being aware of the burden joining a new club and new league gives, Koeman’s tried to back him to find his feet.

Sergino has played a lot of games and this is just his first season with Barca

," Koeman said.

He's a very young player and it's complicated for the youngsters. He's been injured but he seems to have recovered and we will decide on Sunday if he starts or is on the bench.

"I hope he has no more problems with injuries, can get some rhythm back and provide competition."

Barcelona are set to face

on Sunday, extending their eight consecutive unbeaten runs. Although they have not got off on the right foot, they have recovered and are struggling to get back to the pace.
