The Red Devils midfielder has been running on a rich vein of form lately.

Manchester United

manager

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

admitted that he and

Paul Pogba

have been discussing matters openly.

The 27-year-old’s name has been dominating the media this season due to the fact that his agent Mino Raiola revealed his intentions to have the France international depart Manchester United.

Pogba has pulled off an impressive run of form ever since his agent commented on that matter in December.

He has shown significant displays and met the back of the net a couple of times for his side, who are the current titleholders on the

Premier League

table.

The Red Devils manager has gained much admiration bringing the best out of Pogba, admitting his honest conversations had a lot to do with his recent firework.

Paul’s job is to get himself fit and play football,

” Solskjaer said. “

My job is to be open and honest with him and give him my advice and I’ve never had a problem with him

.

"

I talk openly and directly with Paul. I’m not going to tell anyone what my advice to him is but I have always had a good relationship with him.

“He comes from a great family, he’s very understandable, he’s a very sensible boy and he knows what I’m talking about when we speak.”

The France international has been subjected to many criticisms for not showing his best for United, but Solskjaer backs him up, saying Pogba has been working hard in training to help the club succeed.

He’s upfront and honest with me too,

” Solskjaer said. “

And what people don’t see with Paul is even when he isn’t playing, he’s contributed loads in the background.

“Sometimes he’s even acted as the interpreter – even when he isn’t playing.

“He always respects my decisions and we’ve always had a very good working relationship.”

Pogba has found the winning target in two of his side’s last three games playing against

Burnley

and

Fulham

. The 27-year-old will most likely play a key role when United face

Liverpool

in the FA Cup on Sunday. The two teams had a clean sheet last weekend when they fought in the Premier League.
