Jack Wilshere jokingly said he kept Barcelona's legendary midfield trio of Xavi, Andres Iniesta, and Sergio Busquets in his pocket.
Wilshere was having a Q&A on Twitter when he was asked about playing against the Catalan giants in the 2010/2011
Champions Leagueand kidded that he controlled the midfield that night.
In fact, he did play well, with Arsenal winning 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg of the last 16 with late goals from Robin van Persie and Andrey Arshavin. Wilshere was only a teen and looked set to become one of Europe's top half-backs.
He turned into Arsenal's most youthful ever debutant in September 2008 with 16 years and 256 days; he played against Blackburn Rovers. Injury issues enormously burdened him during his career, and he attempted to fulfill his initial potential.
Barcelona also proceeded to win the Champions League that season, thrashing Manchester United 3-1 in the final at Wembley in what's generally viewed as one of the most excellent team exhibitions ever found in a final.
