Upamecano makes no decision for his after-this-season departure

Upamecano is looking for a club in which he can set himself as a leading figure.

The player's contract with his current club expires in 2023, but Leipzig accept the departure to get enough money since the outbreak of the Coronavirus has left the clubs with no money to sign new contracts.

Upamecano said:

"I have extended my contract with Leipzig.

"I am targeted by several clubs, I speak with clubs, but I have time. We will see what happens in the future."

Nagelsmann, Leipzig's manager, said: "He will be here for the season. I'm sure about that. As for the future, I'm not sure as he is very talented. 

"Lots of clubs will want to buy - next season it could be real that he leaves the club. But this season he will stay."
