Wolverhampton manager Nuno Espirito Santo said his side are negotiating to sign Willian Jose from Real Sociedad.
The Premier League side are targeting
Real Sociedad’s
Willian Jose
as a replacement for Jimenez and reports claims that a deal to take the Brazilian striker to Molineux is in place.
The Brazilian, who has been at Sociedad since 2016, has scored six goals this season, including two in Wednesday's Copa del Rey win over
Cordoba
.
Nuno
told reporters, in quotes carried by Marca: “
The negotiations are ongoing, but nothing has been signed yet, so I prefer not to talk too much about the situation at the moment
.
“When Willian Jose is a Wolves player I will speak more in depth about it, but there is still nothing signed.”
The Brazilian attacker first moved to Spanish football in 2013 when he joined Real Madrid but he failed to play for the first team.
Then he moved to Real Zaragoza, Las Palmas and Real Sociedad, where he has made his name with 60 goals in his four-and-a-half-year spell.
