The Spanish top scorer in La Liga will be out due to injury

Gerard Moreno is set to miss several weeks of action due to a calf injury.

Details of the injury of the Villarreal striker have recently been published by Marca. The report confirms that

will be out of action for several weeks due to an injury to his soleus.

Moreno has had a stunning run this season, scoring 10 goals in 16 games and providing two assists. Only Messi is 11 goals ahead of him in 17 games.

The 28-year-old Moreno has scored four goals in his last five games and has been one of the main reasons for Villarreal's success this season. The Yellow Submarineare currently fourth in the table and have a good chance of advancing to the Champions League.

Moreno had already been sidelined for three weeks in October last year with a hamstring injury.
