Manchester City Argentine star has been infected with coronavirus and should start self-isolation.

Sergio Aguero

quarantined himself after contacting with a person who was infected with coronavirus.

That's why he missed yesterday's match against

Aston Villa

, and minutes ago

Manchester City

confirmed that the Argentine star has tested positive for COVID-19.

The 32-year-old wrote on twitter:

"After a close contact, I've been self-isolating and the latest test I took was positive for Covid-19. I had some symptoms and I'm following doctor's orders for recovery. Take care, everyone!"

Man City have had one of the worst corona outbreaks between the Premier League clubs, with Aguero to be the ninth player in the team infected with the virus.

This is another step back for Aguero this season. The Argentine has only appeared in 9 clashes this season. He has been able to score only twice this season, both of which were in the Champions League group stages.

The player, who has a contract with Man City until the end of the season, has been struggling with injuries most of the season. Many believe that this is Aguero’s last season with the Citizens.
