Bayern Munich learn first Club World Cup opponents

Bayern Munich face Al-Duhail or Al Ahly at the Club World Cub, Tigres or Ulsan Hyundai are set to face Copa Libertadores winners.

in the

Club World Cup

semi-final on February 8.

The draw was held in Zurich on Tuesday, with the European champions confirming that Bayern will face Al-Duhail or the

CAF Champions League

winner Al Ahly.

Al-Duhail confirmed their promotion as the host by winning the Qatar Stars League in 2019-20 as no Qatari side managed to reach the

AFC Champions League

.

In November, Al-Ahli won Africa’s most significant football award and qualified for the Club World Cup for the sixth time, last appearing in 2013, the only previous Bayern appearances.

In the other match of the second round, which will be held on Tuesday,

Ulsan Hyundai

, the AFC Champions League champion, will face the

Tigers

of Mexico that will play their first game.

Tigers or Ulsan advance from the draw to play Copa Libertadores-Santos, and Palmeiras are set to meet in an all-Brazillian final on January 30.
